Answer the following questions as fully as you can. These are designed to be thought pieces. I want you to refer to previous readings, as well as current event to answer these questions.

1. Though governments historically rule by coersion, the American system is supposed to be based on consent. Based on what you've read this semester, evaluate this claim.
2. Some argue that health care is a natural right (perhaps an unalienable right), some disagree. What arguments do each make? Evaluate them.
3. Some opponents of health care reform argue that it is unconstitutional. How so? What arguments are they making? What arguments are made against them?
4. The Supreme Court just ruled that a law outlawing the sale and possession of videos depicting animal cruelty violates the free speech clause. The case is U.S. v. Stevens. Summarize the majority and dissenting arguments and comment on the controversies concerning the freedom of speech.
5. Is the Tea Party a truly independent movement, or are they Republicans posing as independents?
6. And, comment on the organization of this class. What worked best? What didn't work at all? What changes woudl you recommend I make? What would you not like to see changed?
